Ingredients

  • 1 bag (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups marshmallows miniature
  • 1 cup almonds chopped, roasted, salted

Equipment

  • 1 8x8-inch baking pan
  • 1 microwave

Method

  1. Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on two sides.
  2. Microwave the chocolate chips at 50% power in 30-second bursts, stirring after each, for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes total, until smooth.
  3. Let the chocolate cool for 5 minutes.
  4. Gently fold in the marshmallows and almonds until evenly coated.
  5. Spread the mixture in the prepared pan.
  6. Refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours, until firm.
  7. Lift the candy from the pan using the parchment.
  8. Cut the candy into 24 pieces.

Notes

For a smoother melt, stir the chocolate chips well after each microwave burst. Store airtight in the refrigerator for up to 7 days; freeze for up to 2 months. For a nut-free option, omit the almonds.
